Saturday At The Market

I don't get to see many sunrises mainly because I like to ease into the day. Today we are going to the Pirate's Festival in Fort Pierce with Rob and Anne. They were picking us up at 9:00 and I had to have Daisy walked by then. It was a beautiful sunrise.

We got there by 10:00 and everything was in full swing.

We were met at the front gate by George. He is two boats down from us.
We got directions for a treasure hunt from him and this gal he was with . It was fun.
We also received a prize for finding the answers.

This made me laugh. This guy was selling marshmallow blow guns. I made these as gifts for my kids on christmas. So Rob and I walk up to his display and before I can tell Rob what it is he has grabbed a handful of the marshmallows this guy is using as bullets and thrown them in his mouth. The guy was one booth over talking to someone and comes running over saying "Hey , You're eating my bullets".

I laughed. I wonder how many times those bullets had been in his mouth as he fired during a demo.

Ruth and Anne came over next and got the demo. Poor guy. Theirs was word for word to ours.

People love their dogs. This little guy was wearing goggles.

Cool metal sculpture. Carrie could do this.

We went into the pirate's town. There was lots to see.

These two guys sat under this tree for over an hour playing their instruments.

 I could have sat there all day listening to them. They were very entertaining. 

Apparently I have a new love in my life. Ruth is soo slow taking a picture I finally had to say Hurry Up.

They told me I turned red . 

We went and sat along the sea wall in the market area for a few minutes.

I thought this would make a nice picture. And it did.

Friday Docktails

Friday 5:00 is always fun here on the dock. I looked out the back of our boat and saw a gathering starting to happen. We started Friday docktails last year and now it is a regular happening. I like it.

I walked down the dock and joined the party. This is a nice group of people.

I liked this lone bird.

They usually hang out in a group but there weren't any other pelicans in sight.

This Friday was a beautiful sunset. It's nice to be here. 

Wednesday In West Palm Beach

We had a problem with the Mercedes Motorhome last week. An engine light came on and stayed on. I made an appointment to take it in to West Palm Beach Mercedes last thursday and they gave me a new Mercedes as a loaner car until this Thursday. 

I had to wash it the first morning I had it here at the Marriott because I parked under a tree with about 100 crows in it. 

I wasn't thinking when I saw them. I remember thinking "Cool , Look at all the birds."

What a great dealership. 

We drove down this Wednesday around noon to pick up the motor home.

They pushed the repair thru under warranty . I love this place.

They even had free chocolate cookies in their waiting room.

After we picked up the Motor home we headed over to these gardens for a tour.

Very beautiful. Lots to look at.

This reminded me of Rob and Shelley's yard.

Rob put in a dry stream last summer and this one reminded me of his.

I need to dress better. I think I look OK until I see pictures of myself. Homeless Rick. Haha

Last Day With Belinda And Charles

We had good day today just hanging around the resort. It started with an ocean walk. 

The water was so blue. 

They all look so happy. It was a nice walk.

Back at the boat I wanted a picture of them.

A little closer.

We walked them to their car as they left for the airport. I love Torontonians. They can be spotted a mile away. 

They dress like they are going out for dinner in a fancy restaurant  all the time. 

Made me want to start to dress nicer.  Nah , Too much work. Haha 

Another Busy Week

This made me laugh. Only in Florida.

So Belinda  and Charles came for a visit this weekend. I had to laugh when I saw them.
 It looked like they were here for a month. HELLO ,  It's Florida.

 All you need is a pair of shorts and a bathing suite.

Plus

We toured Worth Street in West Palm Beach on Saturday. 

It was a little cold but we survived.

It was also a little expensive but we still survived. This piano was one million dollars.

I wish I had a few customers like this. What a story. 

I could do a piano up like this with Canadian Beaver Pelts for less. 

I just need a good story to go with it.

Sunday morning we watched 7 Manatee in a harbour for about 30 minutes while up at Fort Pierce.

This guy looked like a bit of a jerk when Ruth and Belinda walked down the dock near his boat to get a better look at the Manatee.
 Like he's so special.

We walked down to visit our friends Robert and Anne who keep their boat at Sunset Marina.
There was this cool bird we saw in the water while we walked on the boardwalk.
 It's body was underwater.

The sun finally came out. These are nice docks over in Sunset Marina.

We came back home for docktails on our neighbours boat. Janice has a great view from her upper deck.

In Tune looks good from up here.

Jimmy the Captain from one of the charter boats gave me a couple of pounds of Wahoo after taking a group out today so we cooked it up for dinner and had Janice over to join us. 

It was a nice evening.

It's been a nice weekend. Good friends and lots of laughs.

It's Another Busy Day

We had Bruce and Heather over for dinner Monday night. Another nice evening .

There was a good window for the Gulf Stream on Tuesday so they headed over to the Bahamas early Tuesday morning . 

I heard their boat leaving the marina just before 7:00 A.M. I spent the day checking on their progress using their spot connection.
They pulled into Spanish Cay around 5:00 P.M. That is about a 130 mile day.

I have also had the boat polishers here for the last 2 days. This needs to be done a couple of times a year.

This guy somehow broke my water connection with his buffing machine.

It's in a very awkward spot to work on. It's the bottom white plastic fitting.

I didn't know how this was going to work until I figured out how to take the back wall of my closet out.

Naturally the fitting was where I could only squeeze in one hand at a time to work on it.

I headed out to Worst Marine and luckily they had a new one in stock. It took a while but I got it done.

The boat is now done and good for another few months.
